ALL people!

We live in tumultuous times! Just as we have been slowly adjusting to the emotional and physical impact of the Coronavirus pandemic, the world has been rocked by the appalling murder of George Floyd and the resulting wave of protest sweeping though many countries against racial injustice and inequality. This has raised issues that I hadn’t even been aware of. It is all the more appropriate then, that as a church we now come to study the book of Acts and I want to highlight Acts chapter 2:17 “In the last days,’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people’”. Peter stands up in public to tell the crowd about Jesus, and his message couldn’t be any clearer. This message of new life, forgiveness, new hope and power was not just for those listening, but it was for the whole world and for all time. It was for everyone, irrespective of race or colour! This is just as true today; it is only through the transforming love of Jesus that there can be any hope for a complete end to such issues. Bryan.
