Get to know Jesus

Matthew 4.19 “And he said to them, ‘Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.’” I have spent a lot of time recently reading 2 Timothy and have been really challenged by the importance of not only knowing what the gospel message is but also to ‘know whom I have believed’ (2Tim 1.12). Getting to know Jesus needs to be our primary goal because only then will we be willing to take risks for Him. We need to encourage one another in this and our Wednesday nights aim to help, as we look together at being disciples and disciple makers. How? One practical challenge we’ve been given is to arrange to meet with one person to read scripture, share and pray together. Simple, but is it? I have already found this slipping down my to-do list. Is this a cost we are prepared to meet in order to grow together and encourage one another in our walk with Jesus? Bryan
