Love Came Down At Christmas

John 13:3-5 (NLT)” Jesus knew that the Father had given him authority over everything and that he had come from God and would return to God. 4 So he got up from the table, took off his robe, wrapped a towel around his waist, 5 and poured water into a basin. Then he began to wash the disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel he had around him.” On Wednesday night members voted overwhelmingly to support our proposal to seek and employ a ‘Lead Elder’. This demonstration of faith & trust has been a humbling experience for me. It reminded me that love and humility should permeate our interactions with one another whether our gifts lie in leadership or elsewhere. We see this humble love at the first Christmas when Jesus ‘made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men’ (Philippians 2 v7). Love came down at Christmas; let’s remember that as we move forward together as a Church family seeking to fulfil our vision to share Jesus and see lives changed. Bryan
