Many Members, One Body!

1 Corinthians 12:12-27 (ESV) ’12 For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit. 14 For the body does not consist of one member but of many….. 18 But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. 19 If all were a single member, where would the body be? 20 As it is, there are many parts, yet one body.’ These verses have been key to me over the last months and particularly so in the last few weeks. As a leadership team we have been praying for the body at West Denton to become one and for each member to develop their giftings and play their part. Since I ruptured my Achilles I have been blown away by the help and support of so many members of our fellowship and over the Christmas events it has been an absolute joy and blessing to be a part of a fellowship who have stepped up to help in so any ways. The Journey of the Magi, the Messy Christingle and the Candlelit Service were such joyous events as we saw so many visitors coming through the doors, high attendance and yet they were covered by God’s grace as members played their part. Thank you everyone for the part you have played, as we move into 2020 let’s encourage one another and continue to build the Lord’s body at West Denton. The challenge for each of us is to be sensitive to which part He wants us to grow. Ali
