Sunday Together

Sunday is a great time together in worship. We start at 10.30am and usually finish by 12 noon.

We try to keep it informal, relaxed and friendly and people dress in what they feel comfortable – jeans and tee-shirt or suit and tie.

We believe God wants us to enjoy being in His presence as well as taking His word, the Bible, seriously. There is freedom for people to share their stories of God’s goodness, words of encouragement from Scripture or gifts of the Spirit such as prophecy.

So what can you expect?

We begin with some lively singing of contemporary songs of praise and sometimes some of the old hymns, led by our worship team.

There is opportunity for members to give to support the work of the church.

The children then leave for Trailblazers for an action-packed programme based on a bible passage.

Then there is life-related teaching from the Bible with encouragement to respond to what God has been saying.

This is usually followed by singing of more contemplative worship songs.

There may be prayer for particular needs in the congregation, in our work and witness, or for national and international issues. This may be led from the front, or in small groups or in other creative ways.

We give opportunity for those in need to receive prayer either during or after the service. We believe God loves us and is both able and willing to help us with any problem or difficulty.

On the 1st Sunday of each month we celebrate at the Lord’s Table.

On the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month we have church prayer hour from 6.00 – 7.00pm

The last Sunday of each month is our All-Age Service when young and old meet together for the whole time – a shorter service with lots to interest every age-group; sometimes noisy, sometimes a bit messy, sometimes a bit crazy, but never boring!

At the end of every Sunday service, we meet for tea or coffee and biscuits in the back hall, which is a great chance to meet new people.
