Mark 6:32-44 “32 So they went away by themselves in a boat to a solitary place. 33 But many who saw them leaving recognized them and ran on foot from all the towns and got there ahead of them. 34 When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many things.” Last week I highlighted the importance of focusing on Jesus. Look to Jesus so that we can look ahead. This week I find out more about how Jesus behaves – with compassion. Compassion is a deep yearning that responds to the needs of people. Jesus mission on earth was compassionate. His death on the cross was the ultimate act of compassion. I hope Jesus’s compassionate behaviour shows you how to act and share in your activities this week. As a church fellowship, we are supporting the Foodbank, praying together and linking into our community. I see a compassion in this work and feel this witnesses that faith is through deeds not words. Well done and let’s keep going. Ali
