He Has Done It!

At our final Generate youth club on Friday for the end of the school year, I was encouraged by how the group has grown. God has truly blessed all who attend. On Friday I was particularly aware of how our church buildings have helped to serve our community. On that evening, we shared refreshments and cakes with parents in the Guild Room, the kids played games in the hall and Sophie made pizza in the church corridor supported by the kitchen! Our building provided an opportunity and facilities to meet God, share Jesus and give Him the glory with fun, praise and adoration. As we shared Psalm 22 last Sunday and I thought about the support that the fixtures, fittings and facilities of our building provide, it reminded me that the building has played a key part in keeping us going! We are able to spend time here in church, aligning to Jesus and serving His community. As we move forward into West Denton Community Church, the buildings will support our work, the groups who meet, the praise and worship and our Sunday services, the Foodbank and the Heat and Greet drop ins that are planned. Encourage each other in the Lord ‘He has done it!’ Psalm 22 v31. Claire.

P.S. We’ve featured a headline in the newsletter since before Lockdown. As we look to the future we’re eager to know if we should continue with it so would welcome any feedback as to how you’ve found it or any suggestions going forward. Ian.
