Jesus Saves!

As we continue in our routines in physical isolation it’s good to remember who we are and where we belong. When we met on Zoom for prayer this week, a verse shared just put things in perspective for me. Psalm 33 v 20 says “we wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you.” We have a vaccine and some have had their jabs. We can start to see that there will be a time when we can mix with our friends and families again. We can live again! But the psalmist says don’t put your hope in earthly things, put your hope in God. Have you been yearning in hope for the time when we can return to normality? Pray that as we slowly see the lifting of restrictions we’ll keep our eyes fixed on God. He is our hope and our help and our shield. We’ve been waiting a long time to be free of restrictions but we are already really free to worship Jesus who saves us, not just from Covid, but for eternity!
