At our meeting on Thursday, we thought about welcome and considered how this could be approached in a new way. In Acts 2 42-47 The Fellowship of the Believers was evident. It was a great example of fellowship and we discussed what was essential in how we meet together thinking about what that means to us. I found great encouragement from our thoughts. A sense of truth and light was revealed as we were together and shared our faith with each other. We created a sense of growing together and our fellowship together was as Ephesians 4; 15, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. Another verse we looked at John 13:34-35 reminded me of the NEW commandment given by Jesus 34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” We are seeking to share this love with others even though it can be challenging. We need to rely on each other and keep sharing and encouraging each other. This is how the fellowship we have from being together can help us grow.
